My Story
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Grew up in a low-income family but with very progressive parents, my dad loved technology advancements, traveling, and learning. For him, it was very important that me and my siblings grew up bilingual and he sacrificed a lot so we would travel and have access to the latest tech on the island. So by the time I became an adult, I was fully bilingual, and had traveled all Caribbean islands and about 20 states. Then, I joined the Army, had a child, and married my now husband of 13 years. He was a Naval Officer at the time, so we got to travel some more. Once he retired after 20 years, we moved to a 5th wheeler for a year. It was a great adventure! About 2 years ago, my kids who had been homeschooled, decided to try school. I know, weird right?! It surprised me too! So, we decided to settle down, buy a house, and try it out. Our kids are now thriving and my husband is loving the retired life! I decided I wanted to put my traveling knowledge to good use and help people plan their perfect vacation, and that's how Anywhere Nomad was created.
